Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES) @ UNR Equipment Site is a biaxial, multiple shake table facility (with three identical biaxial shake tables) that is suitable for conducting of research on long, spatially distributed, structural and geotechnical systems; Bridge Research and Information Center was established in 1998 and is headquartered at the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). The center is principally sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF); The Western Regional Superpave Center in the Civil Engineering Department is one of five centers established by the Federal Highway Administration to promote the implementation of superpave technology; The mission of the Transportation Technology Transfer Center (Nevada T2 Center) is to provide training and technical assistance to transportation personnel to help them build and maintain better, safer, and more cost-effective transportation facilities; Audiovisual center, Theatres, Concert Halls, State Historical Society Museum, Planetarium, Research Institutes, Agricultural Experiment Station, W.M. Keck Museum (minerals, fossils, mining history), Nevada Terrawatt Facility, KUNR-FM Public Radio, NV Small Bus. Dvlp Ctr/Bureau of Business and Economic Research, Institute for the Study of Gambling and COmmercial Gaming, Ctr for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies, Great Basin Center for Geothermal Energy, NASA Space Grant College and Fellowship Program; University of Nevada, Reno Fire Science Academy (FSA) includes a 426-acre, state-of-the-art training campus in Carlin, Nevada, as well as specialized training programs ??? conducted on-site or customized and offered anywhere in the world. |
